Art Cam files

Is there a way to open Art Cam files in Mecsoft to code writing? I have a customer that is in the middle of a project, and the design people that he is working with cannot find the time to mill his project. All that he has at this point is the design done in ArtCam, and he wants me to do his milling.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ask if you can get an stl (stereo lithography) file or one of the may file types that are presented to you in the open pull down. It is likely that you share a common format that will get his part into VM. Good luck. Otherwise you will have to seek out a translator that can make the conversion for you.

I'm also an ArtCam (and VM) user. Just have them post out an stl. ArtCam makes a nice closed stl with either a flat back or an offset back (shelled).
