I have:
SolidWorks
VM 4.0 SP6
and Rhino 3.0
In VM4.0, what is the difference between:
1. Export part as STL file...
and
2. Export simulation model as STL file...?
and why is 1. exported as .SLA
and 2. is exported as .STL? Is there a difference?
Thanks!

Export Simulated 3d Model
Part is all the meshes that are there in the file.
Simulation model is the stock model at any stage. This is the actual cut model from the Stock that you created and simulated.
The .sla and .stl are just variations of the STL format (binary and ascii).
