Could we get a 'Select edges/chain' option that allows us to pick machining edges from the model instead of a sketch? This would be as well as the current 'Select Curves as Regions' and 'Select Flat Area features'? This would also be useful for selecting holes too for drilling ops.

PS What single line/stick font would you recommend for engraving text? I have successfully used V-Carving for larger text, but the results are not so good for small text around 3mm high.

Yes, edge selection is already in our enhancement list.

Regarding single line text, it is really up to your choice - there are no restrictions on what to use however.
