I made a Porsche

Post by dingo780 »

Built a tradeshow booth for Porsche for the unveiling of the Panamera. I milled a 1:1 model out of 4lbs foam and had a mold made and poured fiberglass. We then hand trimmed and glued over 25,000 lenticular tiles featuring the car moving in different landscapes. It's a living! :D

took about a week to machine. Sliced the model in 3ds max and straight to visual mill. 3" think foam sheets. another week to stack, glue, and sand. Couple of days for mold and pour, 2 more weeks of art student slave labor to trim and glue tiles.
