Drill depth issues

Post by MS1609452601 »

In the drilling operation, if there is a value entered for approach distance, this value is added to the drill depth when posted, therefore I always change this value to zero. Is there a way to always ensure this value is zero as if I miss changing this then the holes are drilled 2.5mm deeper than they should be. Alternatively can I edit the post script to ignore the drill depth value?

You can use save as defaults to save the mop parameters to a defaults file. Right click on the operation and select save a defaults.
Please let us know the post processor you are using so we can verify the drill depth variable that is used. On most posts Z[CYCL_Z-DEPTH] variable outputs only the specified depth without adding the approach distance.
