Selecting Surface near Isocurve causes inaccuracies

HI,
We are having problems while using "select holes on flat area" in a drill operation. If we select the surface by clicking near the isocurve, the hole locations are off by .001". If we select the surface away from the isocurve, they are right on.
This image shows the result. The numbers circled in red should be 0.0000. These holes are on Y 0.0000"
This image shows good numbers when selecting away from the Isocurve.
While the hole being off .001" on this part is not a big deal, for some parts it is. Not to mention the machine operators get nervous when the numbers on the machine display don't match the blueprints, so then they start asking questions and wasting time.
Why would clicking near and Isocurve cause the numbers to be off?
Thanks,
Brandon
