hello,
what is the easiest way to define a start position or entrance point for a 2d tool path on a part that was imported? I'm guessing it easy to control a start position if i made the model in viusalCAM but since I'm using an imported model I don't see that option. Ideally the profile would start midpoint on a line segment I select.
thanks
Erik

Re: change chamfering or profile start position
Start points can be changed in VisualCAD for closed curves or by using Pre-Defined region in CAM.
If you are working with a solid/surface geometry, create a pre-defined region (Curve/Surface Edge/Flat Area) from the Regions tab under Machining Objects browser. Highlight the region under Machining Region Set and use Select Start Point command located on Regions tab, pick a start point on the graphics screen.
