unable to open .ai file in Visualmill 2015

I am unable to open an .ai file in Visual mill 2015. I am told this was saved from the current version of illustrater.
I am aware that not all versions are supported by VM 2015.
Which version or versions are. I can then tell the designer to save the file in that version and hopefully that will work.

We support version 3.0 (and less) of AI files. It corresponds to Adobe Illustrator 7.0. So you should choose 3.0 or less before saving/exporting.
