post processor question

Post by SN96 »

Hello all,

I have a sherline mill and using mach3 and visual cam 1.0 It seems in my tool setup the approach and engage parameters are not being included in the post file output. What variables do I need to use and where do I stick em in the post processor?

I did a search on this with zero results?

If you could upload or send the programmed part file (vcp) and the posted g-code (nc) to [email protected] we can take a look at it.

Re: post processor question

Thanks for uploading the files. The posted code does show the programmed plunge (1.25 in/min) , approach (3.75),engage (3.75) and cut (10.0) feedrates at the start of the program. As the number of decimal places for feedrate output in your post is set to 1, you are seeing the plunge feedrate as 1.2 in/min , approach and engage as 3.7 in/min. The feedrate you are seeing on line N7 is the transfer feed as you have the transfer feed set to a Set feed = 22 in/min.
